The Russian edition of this book became available to readers in March 2023. It has sparked considerable interest. Within one year, as of March 2024, the site on which the book is posted has had 230,000 visitors, and 41,000 of these have read it online or downloaded it. A printed edition of the book in Russian was published in Riga, Latvia.

In a number of cases, Jehovah’s Witnesses on trial in Russia have cited our book, quoting from it in their final statements as they defend their innocence. The authors are very glad that their work has proven useful to people who are persecuted for their Christian faith.

We have received many letters of appreciation. Some readers have told us that they used Google Translate to read our book in their own language.

We are sure that the release of the English-language edition will greatly expand its readership. This means that more people will express their solidarity with prisoners of conscience in Russia and will demand that the repression be ended and that wrongly convicted Christians be freed.

The English translation contains updated statistics and facts. We hope that this will make it even more timely.

From the bottom of our hearts, we express our gratitude to the translators, to whom this edition owes its existence.

May the Lord help all prisoners of conscience,

Sergei Ivanenko and Elena Volkova
